Desert Vox is an ensemble that attempts to bring a fresh perspective to El Paso on the Indoor Drumline activity as a whole. Featuring a strong influence from the Southern California Indoor scene, Desert Vox aims to offer world class instruction, experience, and a strong design to it’s members from a seasoned staff that has accumulated many WGI National Championships at the world class level as both performers and educators alike. Desert Vox sets its priority on creating a top-notch experience and culture for our members by promoting excellence on and off the floor.

Desert Vox was founded in the Winter of 2022 under the direction of David Miranda and Vyvian Perez. It began as a district drumline in the Ysleta School District that went by the name “DV Indoor,” being centralized at Del Valle High School. After a successful first season, the group made the change to become a fully Independent ensemble joining the umbrella of Artistry in Motion Performing Arts, Inc. The group is now known as “Desert Vox.” El Paso’s newest Independent Ensemble has been honored to compete in local WTCA circuits as well as the WGI Phoenix Regional in 2023, where the group was promoted to Open Class immediately after their prelims performance and finished the weekend with a 3rd place standing in PIO at finals. This year in 2024, the group made its first trip to Dayton, Ohio for the WGI World Championship event and made it to Semi Finals, placing 24th overall out of 39 groups from across the nation.
